Nightmares Of A Single Man

During my juvenile age, I was the kind of guy who enjoyed the care of mom. She always was worried about my comfort and appearance. Every time I needed an ironed shirt or pants, mom was there; I never felt the necessity of washing or repairing my clothes, either. I couldn't steal the pleasure from my mom of doing those chores for me. I never had trouble with wardrobe malfunctions.

Later, when I moved to my dorm and assumed my adult lifestyle, I learned to wash and iron my clothes myself. However, like the majority of single men, I was completely inept (clumsy) with sewing and mending tasks. I had the tendency to procrastinate when I had a popped button, unstitched hem, socks with holes, or pants with torn seams.

After some time, I realized how shameful this behavior was. Soon, my wardrobe was almost full of clothing with some kind of imperfection or seam problem, yet I wore those garments anyway.

I remember one time making a presentation at work while dressed in a shirt with just one lateral button on the collar. I also rolled up my sleeves because one cuff didn't have any buttons. Oh man! I didn't wear my double breasted coat because only three of its six buttons remained. Also, it was a nightmare when I visited one customer and he asked me to take my shoes off when entering his house. One of my socks had a huge hole in it, and my big toe was in the open air.

Well, after these (and other) embarrassing circumstances, one day a good girlfriend introduced me to Sewing Aid. We went together to a party, and on our way the hem of my pant leg (which was fixed with tape) came completely loose. Before we arrived at the party, she took a Sewing Aid kit from her handbag and repaired my hem in the car. Later, she gifted me the kit and taught me a few basic tips of sewing and mending.

Since that day my social life has been free of awkward and embarrassing situations, and my wardrobe has been emancipated from malfunctioning clothing. Wherever I have a sewing emergency, I take action with my Sewing Aid immediately. It is a great ally that I always carry in the glove box of my car, and I also keep another at home.

Sewing Aid is a small and portable sewing kit with all of the necessary sewing supplies that I need. Everything is neatly organized into an elegant Pu leather case, and it even comes with a useful, illustrated “Instruction Sheet” for beginners like me. I love it!
